All black everything. Black Friday is the time to get some real bargains. When you need something chic for a special event, then black eveningwear’s the thing. And when it comes to real luxury, then you want ‘Monte Carlo Black’. Black is an ever popular and current colour. In the fashion world black is always in. And it’s the same for the most sought-after fashion accessory: sunglasses. So the choice is huge. To make it easier for you to choose a pair of black sunglasses from the over 6,000 models in our range, we’ll tell you our favourites.
Gucci – craftmanship from Tuscany
Ladies, listen up! No doubt you already know that Gucci sunglasses are among the top models, which is why they have a hefty price tag. But you’re paying for quality. The founder Guccio Gucci opened a little shop in his home city of Florence in 1921. Now the world famous fashion brand has a long, successful history and enormous experience behind it. In the 1990s they hired the then unknown designer Tom Ford. So it’s no surprise that the design of Gucci’s sunglasses is impressive Gucci GG0036S. Our colleague Nela looks dazzling in them (even without the mirrored lenses).
JB by Jerome Boateng – Defend your style
“Black is beautiful!” I’m sure many women think that when they see the fashion icon Jérôme Boateng. And it’s what JB Boavista makes me think JB Boavista. These sunglasses with a double bridge are a special model from the brand new collection #BOAconnection from Allrounder Boateng. Not only did he co-design the glasses and sunglasses in his three collections, but he also named the models after personal acquaintances. JB Boavista is devoted to his fans, to thank them for their loyalty. I am a fan of Boateng and I’m more than delighted by this it piece!
Miu Miu is known as the little sister of Prada, but the brand is in no way inferior. On the contrary! Miu Miu manages to bring together graceful femininity and rebellious extravagance, and at an affordable price. Miu Miu’s sunglasses appeared at New York Fashion Week only two years after the company was established. However, Miu Miu sunglasses aren’t just for haute couture, but for everyone. We particularly love the Miu Miu MU 08RS with a round Vollrand.
Diesel- the fuel for the modern world
That was what the Italian Renzo Rosso was thinking when he launched his brand named ‘Diesel’ onto the market in 1979. After making his mark with his legendary jeans, Rosso decided to expand his product portfolio. In 1989 Diesel branched into women’s fashion and the company’s turnover increased by 26 fold in just four years. Unbelievable, but true. Now Diesel’s sunglasses are among the bestsellers. Their pilot frames always look great like at the Diesel DL0238.
Fendi- pure luxury from Rome
Sadly I don’t speak Italian. But judging by the products from the Italian fashion brand, I guess ‘fendi’ must mean luxury (actually the word is ‘lusso’). Fendi won its international reputation based on its first range of handbags and leather goods. The brand has been developing its range since 1918 and has always been the focus of attention, recently due to its exciting collaboration with the Italian streetwear label Fila. The world famous flipped FF logo has also been appearing more frequently on sunglasses. Such as our Fendi FF 0285 in black with polarised lenses. I say that the double f stands for fabulous fashion!
If you still haven’t got any black sunglasses to enhance your autumn style, then you should take advantage of our current offer. Until 26 November we are offering 25% off our entire range. So our reasonably priced branded frames are even more affordable! We’ve got your b(l)ack!
