Just recently, the Italian fashion label Fendi presented its new collection at the Fashion Week in Milan, once again inspiring fashion-loving men and women from all over the world.
History
Already in 1952, the fur and leather goods trading company was founded in Rome by the married couple Adele and Edoardo Fendi.
In the meantime, the brand not only designs clothing and accessories for men, women and children, but also watches, perfumes and even home furnishings.
The couple bequeathed their successful company in equal parts to their five daughters. In 1965, they engaged the well-known German designer Karl Lagerfeld as the designer for the women’s collection and it was Lagerfeld who also developed the Fendi logo – the double F – that still exists today. To this day, the German designer together with Adele and Eduardo Fendi’s granddaughter are the heart of the company.
Fashionable, Stylish, Fendi!
Until 1990, the design of all the collections was characterized by simplicity and elegance. But with the introduction of exceptional bags, such as the baguette bag by Fendi, the style changed. Colours, unusual patterns and shapes and a touch of extravagance paired with the traditional sophistication of the Italian fashion house. And it is this combination of innovation and tradition that still inspires the world today.
Despite Fendi’s internationality today, their designs reveal their attachment to their hometown of Rome.
Fendi Eyewear
The Fendi sunglasses collections also combine the clean look of the past with modern elements of contemporary fashion. Since last year, the classical cat eye sunglasses, as we know them from the 40s and 50s, can suddenly be see again everywhere. Fendi also followed the trend, but, typical for Fendi, lent it a few modern enhancements.
A good example is the FF 0242/S, which have the classical cat eye shape, but are definitely an accessory in the modern fashion world, thanks to their summery neon colours and futuristic details on the temples and lenses.
It’s this clever combination that makes the Fendi sunglasses collections so special.
Stars love Fendi!
Especially during the Fashion Weeks, you can see a lot of celebrities, bloggers and fashion lovers, wearing their favourite Fendi outfits with enormous pride.
The Hamburg-based blogger Aylin König was dressed in her Fendi poncho (typically patterned with the double F logo) for the Fendi show at the Milan Fashion Week, also wearing her Fendi shoes. On top, her matching Fendi handbag perfectly completed her look.

One of her absolute favourite accessories, however, is probably her Fendi bag bag in petrol-coloured plush design.

Even Caro Daur, Germany’s most successful fashion blogger, openly admits her weakness for Fendi.
Whether earrings, trousers, bags or shoes – the F logo is often her all-over look.
