The Fashion Week in Berlin has started, and we are here for you! In addition to the latest trends on the catwalk, we have a look at the people in the streets around the fashion event of the year to give you exclusive insights behind the scenes.
Model and actress Abiba Makoya Bakayoko knows all about the runways. She was a participant in Germany’s Next Top Model and this year she is back again at Fashion Week in the capital. She is going to show us what the everyday life of a fashion week model looks like.
9:00 Uhr – Good morning, world!
Good Morning! It’s the first day of Fashion Week and I’ll be walking the runway for two shows. So, get out of bed and head for the botanical garden. That’s where the Lena Hoschek Show is happening.
Enough dilly dallying, get into something comfortable, put on my glasses on and off I go. I’m already a little late again.
By the way, my glasses are from Edel Optics and are currently mega trendy! If you like them, you’ll find the model here.
12 noon: The preparations are under way.
Backstage, the preparations are already in full swing.
3 pm: Rehearsals
What a picturesque setting here in the botanical garden, right?
We’ll walk the catwalk before changing into our clothes.
4 pm: Fitting
The final preparations are being made, so it’s about time to get dressed and get out on to the catwalk.
4:20 pm: Last check before the show starts.
One last check before my performance. Now doesn’t my outfit look great? I love it!
4:30 pm: Showtime
It must have looked like this, but of course with audience and music. Anyone who has seen the livestream knows what I’m talking about.
5 pm: Finished!
We’ve made it! The show was a complete success and it was a lot of fun. Now get changed quickly and on to the next show.
9 pm: Work is done! 🙂
I’m finally in bed, recovering from the really nice, but also exhausting day. After the Lena Hoschek show, I immediately jumped into a taxi to take me to the E-Werk, the location for the CALLISTI show.
The preparations there ran until 7:45 pm, before the show began at 8 pm. Now my work is over. It was great that you were there! I hope, I brought you a little closer to my daily routine during Fashion Week.
Goodnight!
